This year, homework has changed slightly!
As a class, we will now focus on spellings during school time and multiplication will be set for homework.
This year is especially important for Beech class to complete their multiplication homework due to an end of year multiplication tables check. These multiplications will be set every Friday, using EdShed, and then reviewed the following Friday to understand what the children need to focus on more and what they have good fluency in.
Spellings will now be taught in the classroom. Beech class has already been focusing on 6 new spelling words a week where they practice their handwriting, their understanding of the words and their application of the words in a range of sentences and subjects across the curriculum. If you wish to review your child’s spellings for the year, the Year three/four statutory spellings are listed on EdShed as well.
Reading is still as important as always! Every child should be read with everyday in order to gain fluency in their reading. As well as this, Beech children have at least one opportunity to read with Miss Saunders each week to help assess their reading levels.
Building wonderful classroom communities with parents, carers and pupils.
