Recycle / Reuse!

As part of out Eco-Schools green flag award our Eco-committee organised a clothes swap - this gave families and members of the community a chance to recycle any unworn clothes and take away new clothes to them for free! Our fabulous Eco-committee got to work sorting though bags of generous donations and making the event a huge success! 

Any clothes that were left over from the clothes swap were then collected by the charity Rags 2 Riches who give clothes to communities in Ukraine, Europe, Africa and Pakistan to enable access to affordable clothing, they may not otherwise have. It helps the environment and the local economy. Rags 2 Riches paid the school a whopping £50.18 for all the clothes collected!

Many thanks for the children and parents who supported this event - it has given us vital points for our Eco School renewal as well as raising money for the school.
