School Meals at Middle Barton

Our school meals are supplied by Dolce.  Parents can order and pay for lunches using the ScholGrid system. Our focus is the quality of meals for our children and promoting wholesome, homemade food.

We have made the decision to remove the traditional puddings, so children will now receive a nutritionally balanced main meal, and will be offered pieces of fruit or natural yoghurt afterwards.  Wherever possible, produce will be sourced locally, and from suppliers who value quality.

Free School Meals

All children in Reception to Year 2 are entitled to receive Universal Infant Free School Meals (UIFSM). However, some children are eligible to receive Free School Meals (FSM) across all school years. If you are in receipt of any of the support payments listed, your family may be entitled to receive Free School Meals. Furthermore, children eligible for FSM enable the school to receive additional funding called ‘Pupil Premium’ funding which enables us to provide additional support directly for your child, support which may not otherwise be available.
